Lady Meiko's Mount

The slight seemed insignificant, but when it was to Lady Meiko it was important enough to require some form of retribution.
Lady Meiko's diminutive stature was the subject of mockery from the unknowing and the tactless. To those in the know at the soiree' however, the snake -eyed squint and the frozen expression was all they needed to see to keep their distance from her as she circled her prey, picking up little bits of information about her. Lady Meiko was known to collect insults... and also the people who made them.
Her prey was 'Nemi'....   Somebody...  The name was no longer relevant. She was a model.. quite popular in her time. Her face had appeared on the covers of various fashion magazines and as she regularly dated the 'currently popular' film stars; the gossip pages as well.
Lady Meiko learned that she loved horses... and was 'very into' outdoor activities. She was the 'poster girl' for an expensive brand of perfume and that after doing a stint on the catwalk at the latest round fashion shows, she would be sailing to Turkey on a big yacht for a series of fashion shoots all over the Mediterranean....
The yacht never made it to Turkey.
It was nine months after the mysterious disappearance of the yacht, her crew and her famous passenger ( The only person whose loss garnered more than a short column of page seven.), that Nemi finally rose up from the depths of her induced coma.
Except she wasn't Nemi anymore... She was called 'Freak' by her new owner, which was the insulting aside that Nemi had ill-fatedly used all those months ago.
Her catwalk days are over - Lady Meiko made sure of that.
Now she's just another pet in Lady Meiko's private menagerie, unrecognizable from the woman who regularly appeared on the covers of fashion magazines.
Of course, few people remember her - the ranks of super- models simply filled the void she left with a new face, a new figure to wear the make-up and expensive , stylish garments.
And as for the fashion magazines... no one reads the ones she appeared in... back -issues are So out of date...

ARTIST'S NOTE: I decided to resurrect Lady Meiko for another render when I was using the old computer. After the change over I almost forgot about her until recently and decided to redo the render from scratch. Hope you like it.
